Things to do in Wicklow
In addition to the superb Brittas Bay, which is the main sandy beach only a 20 minute ride away in the car, there are several other smaller beaches in the surrounding area and several scenic routes to reach them all, either along the picturesque coastline or via inland roads.
Sailing, Tennis or cycles for hire are available in the town, with further afield quad biking and horse riding for a sterner physical test. For the less energetic, the Murrough, the Nature Reserve in the Lakes behind and the Cliffs offer various length walks with bird and seal watching, whilst sea or river fishing can be arranged
For many visitors, Wicklow represents a great location for escapism, but it is also a County with no fewer than 18 golf courses, plus some excellent restaurants and leisure facilities.
An indoor swimming pool, the bowling alley and Kids Zone together with the historic Gaol in Wicklow and the multi screen cinema in Arklow provide entertainment for when the weather is not so good.
